If you reside in mainland Portugal, the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores; or if you are a Portuguese citizen, of Portuguese descent, or have dual nationality and reside in any other country in the world, and are planning a trip abroad, even if temporary, you should register on this Application.

In case of emergencies (natural disasters, public order disruptions, accidents), the Application allows for easier location and contact. If the country you are in is affected by any of the aforementioned situations, you may be contacted, notably through Portuguese consular posts that, in coordination with local authorities, will provide useful information.

This Application allows you to receive useful information and advice about each country you intend to visit.

The Traveler Registration Application is intended for those making short-term trips or visits abroad. Registration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is voluntary, easy, and free.

The personal data entered into the Application is used by the Directorate-General for Consular Affairs and Portuguese Communities, which ensures its security and confidentiality.

Those who sign up for the Traveler Registration Application:

• Receive mobile device safety recommendations whenever the situation in the visited country justifies it.
• Receive information about security conditions in countries they plan to visit.
• Have access to contacts in case of a serious crisis in the country they are in.
• Can be located through geolocation services.
• Have access to information about countries: security, useful information, Portuguese diplomatic and consular representations.
• Record their travel with details of cities and places to visit.
• Access last-minute information.
• Find answers to frequently asked questions.
• Quick connection with the Consular Emergency Office in case of crisis.
• Receive updated information on countries, regions, cities or places to avoid.

Registration does not imply any obligation on the part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The information received is not binding; it serves only as guidance and advice, and is subject to change at any time. Neither the Portuguese State nor diplomatic and consular representations can be held responsible for resulting damages or losses to persons or property.

Registration is voluntary but must be accurate and truthful. In case of suspected false information, the user's account will be closed. When traveling, users should consider subscribing to an itinerary contract with their telecommunications operator.
